Studio & Play Sessions: Studio Time for Making and Experimenting
Two-hour live online sessions for artists who want a short, purposeful jolt of energy in their practice – time to explore a focused theme alongside others, with gentle structure and space to talk about what you’re doing.
..Why artists come to these sessions
Being an artist often means working alone, seeing the same people, and slipping into familiar ways of making.
Studio & Play sessions are designed to open your practice and offer a space to think about your work with other people.
In each session you get:
-
a clear focus for the evening
-
protected making time
-
conversation, feedback and different viewpoints and perspectives.
Think of them as a small, concentrated dose of studio company and fresh input to keep your work alive and moving.
Who they’re for
These sessions are aimed at artists who:
-
have been making work for a while (in any medium) and have some sense of their own direction,
-
sometimes feel a bit stuck in a rut, flat, or isolated in their practice,
-
enjoy the idea of working alongside others
-
are interested in outside perspectives to keep their work open, curious, and evolving.
Each session stands alone. You can come to one that speaks to what you’re currently exploring, or drop into several over time as a way of regularly refreshing your practice.
