My morning walks are a often a time of inspiration and thinking. Planning the day.  Enjoying the colours this time of year.   I love autumn, it often feels like its the last gasp of glory from nature before everything shuts down for the winter.

Here are three photos from my regular walk along the chesterfield canal and examples of my creative process at work.  I wanted to capture some moments of inspiration where I photograph moments of interest which might eventually become a painting or be a resource for a piece of work.  I’m drawn to the colours in the first two photos, the foliage of the rose-bay willow herb and the berries on the rosehips. And I love the angle of the beam of light in the last.
